New Working


New Working is being given all sorts of forms and interpretations from various perspectives. The following changes occur compared to 'Old Working':
  • instead of management giving the employees assignments and instructions, employees are given personal responsibility;
  • monitoring of the process sees a shift in emphasis towards giving trust: if a person is completely trusted, virtually no monitoring takes place;
  • the regulation of consultation situations is replaced by a connection with one another: people communicate via technology at any time of day;
  • those who were in charge also had the intelligence as it were: they said what needed to happen; with new working everyone has an appropriate degree of freedom.
